What are our standard professional charges and why do we charge them?
We always keep charges for customs clearances and professional services as cost-effective as possible for our clients with no hidden or obscure fees. We provide our clients (importers and forwarders) with professional services and appropriate advice on incoming cargo.
We are based in Australia and we are not a “click and flick” brokerage. We are proud of what we do and work with our clients as an extension of their business to streamline their import requirements and make the process as easy as possible. Our fees are reasonable and in line with the industry average.
Making our clients’ businesses run smoother is what makes us happy. We strive for excellence and deliver nothing less!
Please contact us on 07 3185 2131 or via our contact us form to find out what our reasonable professional fees would be for your requirements.
What are our standard professional fees?
Customs Clearance / Agency Fee – This is our professional charge for attending to your customs clearance. This may vary depending on the type of consignment and the commodity requirements.
This goes towards our time and expertise, to arrange your shipment, meet legislative requirements, lodge them to customs, may disbursements on your behalf, and the list goes on.
We can also provide these services as tariff or commodity consultancy services, Tariff Advice applications, Tariff Concession Order applications.
Accreditation and System EDI fees (Administration) – This is the cost of fees we pay to use our system and communicate with customs for each lodgement we submit.
We use EDI communication systems with customs and DAWE. These are costly to maintain but benefit our customers greatly.
This does not incl. any duties, taxes and charges, depot fees, transport fees, port charges or other costs incurred.
*Department of Agriculture and Water Resources referred to as DAWE.
^ FTA = Free Trade Agreement, CoO = Certificate of Origin
COLS DAWE Processing Fee (if applicable) – This is our professional charge for lodgement of your documents (if applicable) with DAWE. This does not occur on every shipment, it is commodity (and sometimes non-commodity) dependant.
It takes time to do this properly, to gather the documents, submit them, pay fees to DAWE, call them on your behalf etc. We are also NCCC and AEP accredited, which means we can keep your fees you pay to DAWE lower by having more authority to assess cargo on their behalf.
Documentation Compliance (FTA/CoO^ (if applicable) – This charge provides us with the time to clearly examine and provide advice on FTA’s and CoO’s for your shipments.
Delivery Order Fee (if applicable) – This charge is only applicable on shipments where we collect delivery orders and liaise with transport on your behalf.
Sea Cargo Reporting (SCA) Fee (if applicable) – This is only applicable for some shipments where a house bill of lading requires special reporting to customs.
